Psychological challenges can feel isolating, confusing, and overwhelming. As a psychologist, I am passionate about walking alongside people during these difficult times – helping them make sense of their experiences and move toward a greater sense of clarity, direction, and hope.
I see therapy as a collaborative process. A way I like to think about it is that we are in a car together. As we start our journey, I’ll learn about the roads you’ve been down. We’ll also think about the destination you want to drive towards. As you drive, we will explore what’s stopping us from getting there. We may also come across roads I am familiar with, and we can discuss what to expect. Together, we can build a clearer map of where you’ve been, where you are, and where you would like to go – and take meaningful steps in that direction.
I have worked across a range of settings, including university clinics, the Anxiety Treatment and Research Unit at Cumberland Hospital, the Child Behaviour Research Clinic, and Headspace. While I have particular experience working with adolescents (12 and above) as well as young adults, I welcome clients of all ages and backgrounds. I have supported individuals experiencing anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, ADHD, sexual difficulties, body dysmorphia, perfectionism, procrastination, guilt, childhood trauma, relationship challenges, bullying, and family-related concerns.
My therapeutic approach primarily draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. I also incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, tailoring treatment to each individual’s needs and goals.
