From a young age, I’ve been curious about why people behave the way they do. What drives their choices? What shapes their relationships? What influences their wellbeing? I soon found that only by studying psychology could I begin to answer these questions. This curiosity of mine soon grew into a deep commitment to helping others understand themselves and create meaningful positive change in their lives.
I have been studying human behaviour for more than a decade now. I began my journey in this field with a Bachelor of Psychology in Curitiba, Brazil. After completing my degree at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná, I moved to Sydney where I have continued my pursuit in this area. I graduated in a Master of Clinical Psychology degree from the Australian Catholic University and I’m now working towards my Clinical Psychology
Registrar Program with AHPRA to become endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist.
I work in areas including anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, relationship difficulties, and trauma. My approach is collaborative, inclusive, and culturally sensitive, blending evidence-based frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation (EMD) and mindfulness practices. In particular, my approach is to tailor each session to meet the unique needs, values, and goals of my clients.
I have a particular interest in women’s health. I’m committed to providing specialist care through psychology that supports and empowers women throughout all stages of life.
I see therapy as a journey we take together. I work with my clients to build a sense of self-awareness, develop practical strategies and enhance self-compassion to foster clarity, balance and resilience through life’s challengers. Given my experience spans both inpatient and outpatient settings, and working closely within multidisciplinary clinical teams, I have been able to best adapt my approaches in therapy to deliver the most effective strategies for my clients.
Outside of my professional endeavours, I enjoy sports and endurance activities such as running, cycling, and swimming. I am drawn towards spending time in nature, travelling to new places to experience diverse cultures and connecting with my friends and local community. I find that these pursuits bring me sense of joy and enrich my perspective as a clinician here in Mascot.
